Truck Motor + Truck Heads + Holden Intake = FAST

Has anyone here gone this route modding? Seems like a logical step after headers and a cam.

LS2 block
L92 Heads
L76 Intake

Cheap way to make some decent power on motor.

Wow...so much for porting the LS2 heads and 90mm Tb and intake.

Nice find.
Lots of guys on my end have done this with positive results...Would have gone with ported heads and the LSXR intake. Now cam choice is gonna be easy, people here love the GT11 from LPE. Great power with a little lopie at idle. Lettin the others know you have a a slight change under the hood..Had the GT11 for a while then upgraded for a cam with little less lift and more duration.
If you hang out over at the LS1tech engine section for very long you can find this stuff out a lot sooner. lol The heads have been out for a while and are awesome. These heads flow better then almost every aftermarket head out there. The .600" lift number is impressive but more impressive is what they flow at .300". Some people just look at the max lift flow but a good head needs to flow well down low as well.
The Boost section in C5 Forum love the truck heads too! :)

What about exhaust port dimensions? Will LS2 headers fit the L92 heads? If not, who is making CTS-V headers for L92 heads?
so why arent all you ls2 guy ponying up 2k for giggling amount of na power?

I dont know - thats why I was asking if anyone had done this yet :) As others have stated, this is very popular on all other LS2 cars (and trucks). I wonder if there would be a way to fit some GTO headers onto this car.
Probably 1 7/8 kooks.
May have to check into this setup for my new TBSS
Sounds good, but most definitely ruins the "sleeper" effect.
My understanding is, those heads are very 'cam dependent'. If you put the wrong cam with those heads, you are gonna spend $2K for not much gain. Get the right cam though, and it's a great deal.

I also hear the L76 intake isn't that great. I wonder what those heads would do with a FAST LS3 style intake (if/when they release one.)

I've seen pics of a 102mm intake for the new square port heads. Dont know if its out yet. Also, I've read the same about the cam. The cathedral port head found on the LS1/2/6 (thats in order from least to greatest lol) and the square port on the 4th gen motors like a different cam to operate at their max.

Rey,

Both 1 3/4" and 1 7/8" headers will fit the L92/LS3 heads with no issues.

This thread is one of the more current results posts and comes from a very reputable source http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/dynam...3842-ls2-l92-heads-makes-460rwhp-446rwtq.html
