I just bought a used 2008 CTS (without Nav) and have not been able to pair my Storm 2 to the vehicle. When I press the Bluetooth control button for 2 seconds it says "On-Star ready", it does not say "Bluetooth ready" followed by a tone. I say "Pair" anyway and it responds "There are no tags stored.....". Also, when I search on the Storm2 it finds nothing!

Has anyone had a similar problem and what is the solution?

I think Cadillac added bluetooth as an option on the CTS midway through the 2009 model year, so you probably don't have bluetooth capabilities built into the car. If you search the forums, I believe there are several people who have successfully swapped out their modules with ones from newer cars to add the feature.

It was added mid-year 2008, Check you build date on the inside of the drivers door. Somebody needs to check me on this, but January builds and later had bluetooth?

My car is a 2008 that was built on May 30th of that year and it has Bluetooth as std equipment. I am not sure if it was standard in later years or if it only can in certain equipment packages. The best thing to do is to check the list of option codes under the spare tire cover to be certain. Also, do you have an owner' manual? If not it is available one line.

Doesnt sound like you have bluetooth. Check the build date on the inside of the drivers door. Bluetooth was added to the 08 CTS around May of 2008. If you possibly have the window sticker, you will see BT listed at the end. If the build date is prior to May you dont have it. Also you can confirm BT by following the instructions in the owners manual regarding BT commands and responses - what you can say and what you will hear.

Bluetooth was added in late April, 2008 - my car was built on March 28th and I just missed out on the bluetooth models - it had to do with a change in Onstar modules.
