I'm looking at buying a 94 Eldorado with a bad tranny. I myself already own a 92 Eldorado, but it's body is in horrible condition. So I was wondering if someone could tell me how easy it would be to take the transmission out of the 92 and put it in the 94. I'm pretty sure they didn't put the new transmission, the 4t80e until 95 and on, so it should bolt right on, right? Or am I missing something? Thank you for your help!

Pretty sure all 92 caddy cars, deville and eldo, and Seville used the 4.9 motor. And the 4.9 only came with the 4t65e trans. So what motor does ur 92 eldo have?

It has the 4.9, but they only made two transmissions, the 60 and the 80, unless Wikipedia is lying to me, which is entirely plausible.

According to one of my technical books they both had the 4-T 60E.

Your right as usual Ranger, I went back to my book, it shows deville concours,eldo. and seville have the 4T80E, live and learn, the deville has the 4T60E.
