Transmission Question
Hey, I'm thinking of throwing an automatic transmission in here with a full manual valve body. Possibly the 700R4. Has anyone done this? What kind of transmission? Thank you.

Why would anyone want to do this? If you want an Auto you should get a TBSS

I think he means 1/4 mile racing BIG, not running laps.
TheKid - I think this has been discussed a few times and it was decided that there was no capable trans that was small enough to fit.
There definitiely have been others interested, but to this day no one has succeeded. Actually, I don't think anyone has actually done anything besides take measurements, then stop when they decided that there wasn't enough room.

Just searched and it looks like the trans tunnel is not tall enough and it would require A LOT of cutting to get one in.
Apparently the tunnel is to small for the auto. Mines gutted, I'll get a pic of the engine compartment and tunnel.

Doesn't the V have the exact same body, to accept the automatic tranny from the reg. cts?
