Hello guys.. I have a 2007 esky with about 215K on it, all from driving out of state. Always serviced and taken care of. I was recently pulling out of the store when I heard a loud pop and she just stopped moving. All she does is rev as I hit the gas, no movement. Nothing leaked or smoked when this happened. Had it towed home, don’t know if it’s something small or big... any ideas???

If your truck is AWD than hopefully it is just a from drive shaft or rear differential. If your truck is 2WD, than it may need a new transmission. I did mines at 170k at the dealer for $3800 w/ a 3 year 100k warranty. If you take it to a good dealer, they may give you a loaner, which would have costed over $700. The loaner they gave me was a new XTS with less than 3k miles. The XTS was a very nice car and I may consider one in the future. To be honest, the transmissions life is rated at 150k miles. I changed the transmission fluid, one month prior. I heard horror stories about people doin the transmission service and needing a new one within a few months.

It is a AWD. Hopefully it’s something other than the tranny. I usually get my work done at the dealer, I forgot to add, when I had it towed home, the tow truck driver had me hop in and turn the truck on and put it in Neutral so once he off loaded it I could park it with the momentum of the tow truck, as the truck was rolling in neutral, I could hear slight grinding. Don’t know if that narrows it down?
