I bought my DTS 2006 2 years ago. OD/4th has not worked since I bought it. 100K miles but transmission runs nice, except it hesitates when going into reverse.
I changed the fluid and filters today. When I took the pan down the smaller filter was in the bottom of the pan. I did not see a rubber seal from the filter???.
Under the dogleg shaped filter I could see this mangled piece of plastic hanging down. Can anyone identify this? Is this the missing seal. I could not pull it out.
Anyway the reverse seems to be much better now. It actually bumps in much harder than before.
