My '85 Eldorado is engaging with a bang when put in drive. It seems worst in the morning when I first start the car.
It's been sitting for over a year and only recently have I begun cleaning it up and using it again mainly because valet nearly towed it thinking it was abandoned
A '66 GTO has been my daily driver during that time.
I had the tranny rebuilt by someone that "used" to be my mechanic mainly because it wouldn't engage immediately. Usually it took a minute or more. Paid over $800 for a rebuild and it still does the same damn thing. Don't know if these things are related but thought I'd mention them in case.
Thanks in advance,
Bob G.
