Hello All,

I pulled the codes on yesterday, I had problems with the car running hot, so, I changed the radiator and the thermostat. When the car ran hot, it started to shift erratically, so, I sat where I was for a while and drove it few more miles until it started again. At that point, I had it towed home, for fear of something bad happening, and it seems to have, because now, the car won't go in gear, or move anyway, so, I changed the fluid, lowered the pan as instructed on the forum, drained the sump, of course the fluid was contaminated ( sorta milky ),put new screens in,new gasket, and refilled with fluid . Checked the fluid, and it now has the right color, plus with the sump, there is no fluid on the stick as should be in the morning.

I need some advice on how to resolve the code P1810:So, I went here to this page and lo and behold: http://www.ls2.com/boggs/a4/DTC P1810 3.8.htm

DTC P1810 TFP Valve Position Switch Circuit 3.8L

http://www.ls2.com/boggs/a4/DTC P1810 3.8.htm

PLEASE HELP ME THRU THIS THING, IT'S MY ONLY RIDE, AND I need it to get back and forward to the Veterans Hospital here in Richmond, VA.

Thanks to all who can help and those who want too...

I could not find that DTC in my manual. As best as I can tell the TFP (transmission Fluid Pressure) Valve Position Switch is located in the valve body. You should be able to access it by dropping the pan, but I would not attempt it without a FSM.

Looks like overheating the engine coolant also damaged the trans.
