Hey guys thinking getting out of the 07 ESV with 80 k miles. Into a 15 yukon XL denali. The dealer is only offering 20k on trade in. Feels really light. Truck is in good shape 7-8 fairly new tires brakes etc all service up to date. Clean car fax. I asked for 22k final price they are holding firm. Should I take chances to sell outright?

I'd say that sounds about right. The long wheel base trucks are always priced lower than the short wheel base trucks (used pricing). If you had a regular Esky, I'd say 22k would sound right.

It depends on where he's located because I was in Atlanta Georgia and that's were my parents bought me my escalade and they bought it for 25000 at the time and when I went to South Carolina to visit I was at a dealer and they told me 28000

Thanks guys in Indiana. Might run it by car max I was thinking the same. However trying to weigh my options. I can get a tax break for trading vs buying wo trade.

I think $20k is the number the vehicle would bring at the auction. Depending on the vehicle condition I do not think $23 is unreasonable for a private party sale. I have a very good Cadillac /GMC sales person in Michigan who might do better for you on the new and trade if want to PM me your number

The tax break will bring the realized value higher. And selling privately sucks.

Sales tax break? Sales tax might be paid on net price after trade.
