Hello,

Does anyone track their car (road course / HPDE)?

  • Track Wheels - ? O.E. ? maybe a Camaro, Vette wheel fits? something around $300?
  • Track Tires - I've found Hoosier and Pirelli make R-compound tires but not great wheel options out there.
  • TPMS - Does anyone know how the car reads tire temperature in the dash display, is this a custom TPMS device needed?
Currently the cost of track insurance is the biggest cost factor from getting this car on track, would be great to have a backup track car.

Thanks,

Chris

Indeed, track insurance can be expensive. I'm fond of local Power Lunch events (literally an hour around lunch time) which cost $125 but the Hagerty insurance covers 3 days and costs about $450 - too much for an hour or even a 1/2 day event.

I track my 2016 CTS V fairly often. I'm currently running the stock rims and Michlin Pilot 4s tires. Car performs well on track, and sticks with most of the Corvettes. I've got some videos of it on YouTube at 615 CTS V.
