My front driver's side TPS is showing 0 psi even though it has the correct pressure in the tire. I tried the reset process per the FAQ, but since it doesn't register any pressure, letting air in or out doesn't do anything.

Has anyone else had one fail? I take it this is a warranty item?

Thanks,
Eric

Assuming you're still running stock tires, it might be covered under warranty (don't know for sure).

When you reset per the .faq did you get all four wheels to respond with a honk and a double honk upon completion?

I'm still running the stock tires. Since the problem TPS is on the 1st tire to get the horn to honk, I couldn't get past that one. I tried letting all the air out and then re-filling with no luck. I even over-inflated to 40psi and that didn't do anything either.

Guess I'll give the dealer a call next week. Just hate thinking about the potential of getting a rim scratched to get this stupid thing fixed. I'd disable it if it didn't also disable the remote locks.

Thanks anyway!!

Had one fail and it was replaced under warranty. The second one failed today. I will get it replaced next week. The failure mode is the same in both cases - TPS stuck on a fixed pressure (30 psi for the first failure, 10 psi for the current failure). In the first case there was no failure warning since 30 psi is a valid pressure - it just stopped changing. This morning, the low pressure warning was displayed because 10 psi is below th minimum acceptable pressure.

The TPM started working again last night. I don't plan to try to convince the dealer that the unit is bad without an indication on the instrument panel. Maybe the next time it fails will be a time when the service dept. is open.

My right rear TPM was intermittent. Some times it worked properly and other times it showed a bogus low pressure reading (4 psi was the lowest I saw). After two trips to the dealer, only to have the thing start working properly when I got there, it finally failed and was in that state when I got to the dealer so they could see for themselves that it was bad. They immediately replaced it under warranty (30 minutes), and there have been no further problems.
