I have heard that you can bypass your tire pressure monitoring system, when using aftermarket wheels by driving for 50 miles with the sensor out of range and that will get rid of the tpm warning. Anyone tried this or bought tpms for new wheels from a dealer? Cost?

When I bought my aftermarket rims for my 07 the tire dealer got me 4 new GM OEM TPM's and installed them for $50 each. The tire dealer is storing my orginal rims and tires with TPM's for me, that way I'll take off my 20" aftermarket rims for the winter and put the OEM's back on.
