Does anyone have any experience towing boats or trailers near or over the 3500 pound rating? I've got the tow package on an AWD (which I will engage to avoid torque steer) but the potential challenge is towing a Searay Sundeck 200 on a tandem axle trailer with surge disk brakes less than 50 miles over flat terrain, probably 4500 pounds total. The Torque App will read transmission fluid temperature. I don't intend to make a habit of towing any distance while overloaded.

Here are the copied instructions on reading trans temperature with the Torque App. My initial use was not bugless:
1. Open Torque
2. Go to "Settings"
3. Select "Manage extra PIDs/Sensors"
4. Go to the menu in the top right, and select "Add Predefined Set"
5. Select "Pontiac / GM / Opel / Vauxhall"
6. Add a new display anywhere in the app
7. Select "Transmission Fluid Temp (GM Method 2)"
8. Profit [?]

For Fahrenheit, add this formula:
(A-40) * 1.8 + 32 [no spaces, change C to F]

Just towed the Select 200 (4500#s) 20 miles after purchase. Feels solid and dealer says this transmission has been trouble free. Still, it's a big heavy boat. My plan is to store it in the marina's rack where launching is handled with a forklift. This trailer has drums on one axle and I might upgrade as the biggest danger is the tail pushing the
dog.

Goliath has taken the garage, I am now using remote start on the XT5. My own stop-start defeat does not compromise this system. If I were using the module and failed to take care with the fob, the horn based theft alarm might be activated at 6:30 am.
