Hello Everybody,

this is Peter from Germany with a question. I am in the process of changing Solenoids A&B on my 93 STS Transmission. I read all of the post to this issue here but did not find sufficient information about the GM torque specs for the Valve Body in the transmission.

One post goes to 98 inchpounds; however, when I loosened two screws on the valve body, I found those to be rather very loose! (This is all of them!). So I checked and to my several attempts I would guess a torque of no more than 60 or 70 inchpounds.

Does anyone have information on the correct torque? PLUS: With my pan gasket cam a drawing in which sequence to torque the pan to the transmission. Now I wonder if there is such sequence for the Valve Body too??

Thank you for any information on the above issue; I just want to make sure that this job is done right, it is such a great car to drive and I want to do it once and do it right!
