Hey guys,

My passenger seat had a small tear in the bottom and over the past few months it has grown to be about 3 inches wide. Is there any way to fix this without having to go to a leather shop?

Thanks!!

Duck tape at the duck shop.

Find a wrecked Caddy in junkyard. Ask if you can cut a piece of leather from the back of a seat that has been destroyed in accident. Get a leather shop to sew it in without removing the seat.

Hmm - yeah, I figured that would be my only out. Because my tear is on the perforated leather seating panel ( the panel your butt sits on), and the rest of the leather ( black) is totally fine -

I was also wondering if this happened to anyone else , too :)

I had a pen in my pocket and sat in the car and ripped the seat. There are guys that work for dealers that perk-up in interior on used cars, I found one, he sewed up the tear, then coated it with vinyl repair paste, when it dryed, he sprayed it with leather dye and it looks perfect. You can't even tell it was ripped.
