Yeah! I'm already on the list for the first one off the line with 28" wheels! and 18" subs with a 2000 watt power amp so that when I'm going down the street in The Peoples republic of California listening to the CD player, Ralph will be able to hear it in the Soviet Socialist Republic of Canada!

Actually in the Peoples Republic of California you have the freedom to play a stereo loud, but here in the Soviet Socialist Republic of Canada we might get jailed for having a more powerful stereo than a Honda engine! Damn your dog is ugly, KC, but at least it is more pretty than my last girlfriend. PS is that an albino pig, oops, I mean dog?? I'm serious about the GT package on the arsetek, I read it in the Drive section of the newspaper!!?

Yeah.....I don't really play my stereo very loud Ralph, I see no reason to inflict my questionable taste in music on anyone else!

The dog?......I had that dog in the '80s his name was " Pinky the weird dog " ( Pink for short ) Albino Pit Bull....White with reddish eyes. He was a good dog but people used to be afraid of him 'cause of the odd looks!

Sorry to hear about your last girlfriend!LOL!

The asstek, Isn't worth comment!

In California we get pulled over for having the stereo too loud almost every weekend. I ride along with my friend in his little mini truck and we blast that stereo 'till we cant hear. It's quite fun because we will pull up next to some old lady and all she will hear is the bass and think "damn those kids with their rap music" then we roll the window down and she hears calssical or opera and she freaks out. TIS funny

Well I have to admit that when we cruised we never got pulled over for loud music. Gee, maybe I am in a free country after all (free to be dictated over LOL) I guess in larger metropolitan areas there are noise laws. 11 pm is when our noise bylaw kicks in. We never took classical along, in the late 80's, it was metal all the way. I don't think KC listens to classical, then again my Fiance can't see him in a Caddy either. (hehe)

Ralph, I would like to mention to you that when you say that I live in a larger metropolitan area....it makes me cry. I wish I lived in a larger area, you see, I live in a quiet little town called visalia, there is nothing to do here, the weather is horrible, about 4 people speak english(everyone else speaks spanish only) and it is just too small. We do have very good cruising nights though. Anyone who has been to visalia know not to come back unless they have to.

Sounds like where I'm from (Yorkton) 15,000 people and all there was is cruising. It's not so bad cruising or racing in small towns, except all the cops get to know you and what you drive. We also knew what the cops drove, and every month they would repaint their cars (pretty obvious in those days with a big antenna out the roof). As long as there are two lanes and sets of lights every block, it's fun! PS you live in California with fruit trees and surfers? How bad can the weather be?! You don't get 40 below weather and have the wolves scratching at you door at night! Love those Escalades (so I don't get kicked off this thread)

yes, i suppse.....personally, i think they are a waste of money, thats all i'm trying to say...that stuff is true though
i love my ext! had a avalanche before the ext and there is no comparison, the ext has a better ride, better seats, quieter, more power, heavy duty trans with cooler, awd vs 4wd,electronic shocks and load leveling, not to mention very little black plastic to treat. the ext fits my vehicle needs perfectly-90% of the time i want a nice quiet comfortable luxury ride, but 10% of the time i need to tow something, move something, haul something, pickup building materials for that home project, get thru some nasty michigan winter weather and a bunch of other things i could mention. the ext is the most versitale vehicle i've ever owned and is a joy to ride and drive. i wouldn't trade it for anything. now the H2 on the other hand is just plain DUMB. also the resale on ext's seems to be holding quite strong compared to other caddies- 2002's sell for 36-42k-compare that to an STS and you'll see what i mean-both about the same price new, but the EXT pulls almost 10k more resale-now that will buy a bunch of gas!! even at 12 mpg, thats 60,000 mile of "free" gas. and thens there is the real reason i have an EXT- my wife likes them!-lol

The Gen 2 Escalade is the primary reason Cadillac has emerged from its slump and is now enjoying a new-found brand awareness and image. The Escalade also gave Cadillac the much-needed credibility and improved “coolness factor” it lost with younger generations. Cadillac caters to several very passionate but distinctive groups. These groups include people who love roof conversion kits on Cadillac sedans, to people who put 24’’ on Escalades, and the midsize sedan/midsize sport sedan crowd with the CTS ( many of whom probably never considered a Cadillac ). On the other hand I know several old school ( roof conversion kit ) Cadillac owners that don’t even recognize the CTS as a real Cadillac noting it's too small to be a Caddy.

In short, the Escalade paved the way for this Cadillac resurgence buy doing exactly was it was designed to do, make a statement that few other vehicles can. When the 02 model was released, it let everyone know that Cadillac is back. Know if they would only upgrade the damn interior!

So do anyone like the new Suburban Escalade? I think its a bit over-kill now with 3 different version of it in GMC, Chevy, and now Cadillac.
I wonder if people still think that?

I see nothing wrong with Suburban Escalade. Didn't back when it was just out and still do not.

The thing i find funny is the jealousy factor that knc is involved in. He says he hates escalades, the only reason most likely being, he cant afford one. If you look at what he said more than a year ago, this is how dumb he is. He said that the only escalade he's ever liked is his best friends truck who "has scratches and dents all over it from off roading and his dry wall business. Last time I checked it wasnt COOL to have scratches all over your 50,000 + escalade you paid for.
