That is completely pointless to have a SUV in the south. If you need to carry cargo, then you get a crew cab pickup.

When the Escalades first came out, I didnt think they would do good. Moreover, I didnt think that they would be used as an SUV. I mean if people were going to buy an offroad SUV, they wouldnt get a cadillac, they would get a tahoe/suburban. Really, they arent going to spend 10k more for a cadillac SUV when the could get the same if not more off-roading capability in a suburban/tahoe.

I suppose most people dont buy SUVs to go off-roading. That is the only reason i buy one, and if i wasnt going off roading then i wouldnt get one. Besides, living in indiana it is kinda stupid not to have something with all 4 wheels turning.

SUVs are pointless if you dont use them for what their designed for. I mean some of people lower them, how pointless is that. But they are useful if they are used in the way they were designed.

If it were up to me, i would discontinue the escalades, even if they sell good. Sorry, never been a big fan of cadillac SUVs.

That is true, and people can use their money however they want. If they want to spend 60k on a escalade and 22s, go ahead. But Madlac decided to start this topic, and we threw in our opinions.

But you have to admit, the first gen, and to some degree the 2nd gen escalades really arent all "cadillac". With the first gen, they were EXACTLY the same inside, minus the steering wheel emblem, and some wood trim, and other minor things. The second gen is better.

Thats what I dont understand...... People go buy these SUVs that get 11mpg (thats what our new suburban gets) and they complain about it. Well I get about 12 or 13 MPG in my Q, and I have to use PREMIUM, yet I dont complain. IF YOU DONT LIKE PAYING FOR GAS, DONT BY A GAS GUZZLER!

The thing is, all other cadillacs (with a couple exceptions) have their OWN chassis. The escalade shares it with 3 other vehicles, the tahoe, yukon, and denali. Just like KC siad, it has the cadillac wreath, but ISNT A CADILLAC!
