I am new to the list, just picking up my V last month. I read a long term update in one of the mags and they stated replacing tires 3 times in 12K miles? I know they were probably driving hard, but just wondering what some of your experiences have been.

4,000 miles per set? Yeah, that's about right. Now a number of folks will report "16,000 miles on the original runflats". Just try and duplicate that. It's more fun to replace them every 4,000.

17,000 and still going...of course they look like drag radials now and were kind of fun at 70 mph today in the rain. :lildevil:

5700 miles here and a full season SCCA autocrossing with two rotations. They look like they were attacked by a rabid badger or a rotary rasp. I may get another 1 or 2K out of them in normal street use.

I got 15k out of mine. I wasn;t continuously lighting them up, but I certainlly didn't baby it either. I also do a lot of high speed commuting which is not a good thing for sticky tire life.

I think the thing that helped me the most, was rotating them at every oil change.

I am *hoping* for 10k. I would not drive them quickly in their current condition in the rain (at about 8200), but it never rains here for the most part unless it's December or January, so I am trying to hold out. I won't be buying these tires again. They are far too expensive for far too little life.

Just hit 9000+ miles. Reviewing various tire choice threads. Plan to order soon. Probably in need at 10,000. Getting so we don't like to drive in the rain. Definately need to go to snow tires in a couple of months. :suspense:

A little over 2,000 miles and the rears are 40-50% worn. I don't do burn outs, not drag racer (OK, one Friday night at LACR so far, but I just clean the tires a second and avoid the water box) but I play in the canyons and desert roads a lot, and love a good drift.

My office is built into my house, so I have no commute. Probably 2/3 of my miles are play miles. I'll rotate them soon. I'm thinking with some care on inflation and rotation, maybe 7-8,000 miles.

I really like these tires. They're sticky, and they communicate wonderfully. I also like the run flat advantage. I was looking at other tires, but have decided that I'll just replace with the same.

Of course, having no commute, mileage isn't important to me, even at 8K per set that's 18 months for me. If I was racking up 15K a year, two sets every six months would get old.

12,500 miles. Rotated them last weekend. A couple of trips to autocross and multiple runs down the 1/4mi. At the current rate I should see 20k on them.
