Does anyone know what the is widest tire size that will fit on to the stock rim of a 2002 eldorado? I've seen street/truck tires in the size of 255/55/16 but don't know if they would be too wide for my stock rim or how they would handle. I also have seen 245/55/16 but they were summer only tires and I live in the midwest snowbelt and drive the car year round. I want a lower profile, wider, better handling all season tire.

Just FYI, snow and wide tires are not compatible. If you are adamant about going wider, get an A/S design.

Thats what i'm looking for,an all season tire. I just can't use a summer only tire.
