Hey, I want to get rims for my 99 ETC, but I'm not sure of the tire size with 20s. I know for 18s its 245/45/18, does anyone know what 20s would be? Thanks in advance.

the proper tire size would be 255/35/20

i have a set of 20's for sale if you are interested
My son is running on 245/35/20 Falkens and they matched perfectly with the stock 225/60/16's. You can also step up to a 255/35/20 and it would still be pretty close and would fit very nice and just a slight bit taller than stock.

I believe the OEM tire size for your Eldo was P235/60/16, correct?

If so, the overall tire and rim height for that setup would be 27.235"

Using that number for speedometer calibration, here are some quick #'s...

P255/35/20 = 27.112" overall tire and rim height
P235/40/20 = 27.490" overall tire and rim height
P225/40/20 = 27.171" overall tire and rim height

I think any of these would work well for you since the total height is +/- .25". The P225/40/20 is only .064" short of OEM specs. If anything your speedo would read slightly slow, but I doubt it would be noticeable. I'd use these sizes as a starting point to see which will be the most economical choice for your rim width. They might not all be available or in production, so having some options should help.

They are some U2 Rims, with sumotumo tires. I bought them brand new, and have had them on my car for 4 months. But living in Wisconsin summer comes and goes very fast so i need to get rid of them before the winter. Give me you email address and i will send you some pics.

The most common size that you will find for cars is a 255/35/20. Second would be a 245/40/20. I just ordered the BFG KDWs for my 99 STS (245/40/20). I was going to buy the Falken Azenis ST-115, but was told the BFG was a better wet traction tire (I live in Seattle). I have the same tires on my Lincoln and I am happy with them so I don't expect any surprises.

Yea, my stock tire size is 225/60/16. I've been looking on CarDomain and stuff to see what other people have put on their Eldos. The most common sizes I have seen is 245/35/20 or 255/35/20. Tire Rack recommends 245/35/20, but I'm gettin the rims Tuesday and will probably goto the tire shop on Friday and see what they say for tire size. I want to get the 255s more so than the 245s so the car can handle a little better than with the skinny (for this size of car) stock tire size it has.
