Is the name brand of ELGIN a good set of timing gears? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Never heard of it. Just get the Cloyes True Roller set. No matter what ELGIN is, this is better. Available at Summit and loads of other places for just about $100

Well it is a 3 piece. It would be an improvement over stock that's for sure. I guess I shouldn't have implied that it was so bad in my previous post, but I don't know anything about it, and it sure is cheap... Either way I would still prefer a Cloyes

Any of the vendors sell the Cloyes true roller timing set. It's over $100 IIRC but it is the best. I dunno about this Elgin timing set, it doesn't look like a bad piece. I'd like to hear some opinions too.
