Yes, he has a 2009 Export STS 3.6L V6.
Quite correct. The garage told me 'they had done a few' here in the UK, bear in mind that there are only 19 STS's in the entire UK and approx. 200 CTS's

Just had my timing chains (DTC P0008)replaced by Royal Cadillac of Tucson. 2008 STS 3.6L DI V6 @ 63,000 A 48hr turn around time, but a real
SOB with emissions testing. It was my crappy luck when I got the CEL and P0008 right when I needed to renew
plates. Much smoother idle, increased MPG, and less soot in exhaust pipes. Really a no hassle event with the
exception of emissions test. Drive cycle(s) extremely difficult to accomplish in a short amount of time. According to
GM, you might have to complete all of the drive cycle processes 5 times if the battery has been disconnected.
