It's in the Vehicle Personalization Menu, in your owners manual:

"Reverse Tilt Mirror This allows the feature to be turned on or off. Select Off, On - Driver and Passenger, On - Driver, or On Passenger."

I agree, but the surround vision on my 2018 Premium Luxury is even better.
to a point it's better... but when you get close the cameras feeds are twisted and stretched in order to be stitched into one contiguous top-down view and thus is distorted...if you need proof turn on your birdseye camera and turn the steering wheel to full lock, you will see the tire come out of your headlights....end result is you can still curb a wheel using the birdseye when you think you have space

it's best to combine strategies (use windows/use mirrors/use cameras) to best look after your car

That is not my experience.

I liked the tilting mirrors. Now the memory seat no longer maintains seat positions. The seat travels when I open the door but it's not where I set it. Resetting does not help.

Each time I get in the car it's necessary to adjust the seat position. The last time the car was in for service there was "no issue with the electronics". I don't even try to reset the mirrors. Too much fiddling for a car that is only good in the city. Short hops so the seat must be adjusted every few miles. This is one car I won't miss.

I won't dispute this...your experience is yours, and you must have a special car.

the rest of us have 4 fisheye cameras that can't see around corners. (the fisheye wide field of view does the twisting) Side under mirror mounted cameras that have a longer area to cover than the front and rear cameras. Added to this front and rear cameras with viewable areas that add distance that the side images need stretching to span so they can be stitched to the front and back images. (it's this stretching that places the wheel too far forward when the camera glimpses it) And finally a white cartoon representation of our car overlayed on top.

it's an amazing feature if you care about your wheels and fenders, since you can't see through doors ...especially in tight parking situations
Interesting comment from someone with a pair of V's. You claim to care about wheels and fenders?!
Sorry but I would not even attempt a "tight parking situation". Bad enough with people that don't care about their vehicles trying to get out of the tight situation you put them in.
Another reason to park in the far reaches to protect one's investment.

I do not have a "special car." It's a production unit that I special ordered so I could get the exact options I wanted. I went and checked again. When turning the wheels they do not "come out of the headlights." They appear where they're supposed to be, both left and right. Perhaps Cadillac improved the surround vision system in the 2018+ models versus your 2016 model.

the only change in the birdseye on the updated CUE is the black border around the cartoon car is now a grey border on the 2019

you can clearly see the wheel popping out in front of the headlight on both cars

when you live in nice neighborhoods...like I do...you are not the only person to have the idea to "park in the far reaches to protect one's investment"... in fact I do just that only to return to find other cars clustered around mine....

also in the real world there are times when you flat have no choice but to accept the available parking...for me it's been my child's elementary school during events like parent-teacher conferences and open houses.....

In your wisdom, do you have a solution for other people in public spaces?....Do you have a school zone fix too?.... please share, your forum mates I'm sure would love to benefit from your knowledge .....

by the way both my leases are nearly done with no curbed wheels and only one ding on my wifes car...I consider that succeeding with our parking strategies

In addition to parking in the far reaches, if all you have is to choose an available spot, I always look for an end spot or keep looking for a spot that has cars on either side that are small vehicles with small doors or cars that are just parked on the outer edges of the spot they are in away from the spot I want to pull into, leaving a wide spot for me to slip into. I also avoid parking next to any truck or large SUV.

To address your statement: ...for me it's been my child's elementary school during events like parent-teacher conferences and open houses...

Leave early to arrive early, get your spot and spend some time with your child before the meeting starts. :)
