'96... what are the specs for the throttle body and throttle body spacer?

My book lists 106 inch-lb for the TB, but doesn't list the spacer to manifold torque??

1.21 gigawatts. And if that doesn't work, try 42.

So, nobody has a manual for a 96-99? Or you just can't find the spacer to manifold specs either??

I moved in June and haven't seen my FSM since... If I can dig it out of the garage somewhere, I'll look it up and let you know today.

Per the '99 manual.

Spacer 106 lb. in.

Throttle body:
Upper bolts 106 lb. in.
lower bolts 89 lb. in.

Why are the upper bolts different from the lower bolts???

Hmm... I could understand if they were a different length, but they're not..

Maybe I'll just tighten everything to 89 in-lbs... This wouldn't be the first time I massaged the torque specs to prevent problems - I installed the intake manifold with 75in-lb instead of the recommended 89, due to a problem with the last install cracking the intake.
