Those with Black Diamond Tricoat....Looking to purchase

Anyone with or without black diamond feel free to chime in. Looking to purchase a demo model 2015 ATS Performance with the morello interior or a 2014 Buick Regal GS if I can't do the black. Had a black car before and I'm very OCD when it comes to cars as is probably everyone on here. Does the black diamond hide imperfections well since it has that metallic flake? Especially swirl marks.. Any info would be great.

I have the tricoat black diamond and very much similar to you in terms of OCD. To answer your question yes it absolutely does hide the imperfections much better than straight black. I have two black audi's that are straight black and it drives me nuts every time I look at them due to swirl marks and minor chips. The caddy I just admire the car vs the swirl marks.

Hope this helps.

Ditto what rfdude says. Also the dust doesn't show as bad as with black.
I like it cause its like having a car that can be two different colors. In the sun the diamond coat is awesome. When its in the shade or at night, ya got a black car. As for the imperfections, well it depends on how much a perfectionist you are I guess, but definitely more forgiving then a plain black paint job.
Just the responses I was hoping to hear. I'm going to see it today and hope I like it. Not a fan of black but love the morello interior
