It bothers the hell out of me. Im just waiting til i have the time and money to mount subs flush against the back seat,and amps and capacitors on each side of the trunk,that way i still have full use of the trunk

ok, i currently have a 1983 cadillac coupe deville, with a 3.75 cubic foot box with 1 15" eclipse Ti subwoofer. I am upgrading to 2 of the eclipse subs, but the raise in the metal in the middle of the trunk is hassling me when im thinking about a box design.
I currently have the sub facing forward towards the front of the trunk, and now i want to have the subs facing up... the problem is the box will either be slanted, or be too tall to shut the trunk, and I was wondering if anyone has experience with this problem..

i dont care about trunk space, cuz my car is for competitons, but it bothers the hell outta me too
