There is a photographer with a blog and pics. Shows how close the drivers feet are to being ripped off. Crazy to see the nitro spraying around. Bet the other driver needed a new pair of shorts too.

Kind of crazy he didn't get knocked out when he hit the pavement and was cogiznent enough to pull the shute, cut the fuel, stand on the brake, etc.

I drove AA Fuel a few times in the late 60's. Was NEVER any good at it. You need lots of practice, lots of money, and reflexes faster than a cat.
