Thigh extension on the 2024 Lyriq

We sat in the Lyriq on Canadian tour, and found the front seats didn't support enough of my thigh.

What are the chances that a thigh extension will become available?

Does anyone know the reasoning there is extra padding in the rear seats on both outside portions of the rear seats, tilting inward slightly?

I blame it on the metric system!

Curious though. How tall are you?
I'm 5' 7", my wife is a little toller.

We're presently driving a 2013 Lexus 450H, which probably has at least 2" more length for the thigh; I felt like I was perched, as opposed to being more relaxed.

Otherwise (except for the peculiar rear seat padding) it's a nice vehicle.

I would also like an adjustable thigh extension.

From my point of view, since the seats are already heated, cooled, and massage I do not hold out hope of any changes to the mechanics of the seat on the Lyriq.

I wouldn't be surprised by an option for a real leather covering or completely different seats in a V version of the Lyriq is released.

Also after a quick google other Cadillacs, like the XT5, discontinued that feature a few years ago.

Nice video,
but I might have missed it! IE: the new interior look, perhaps you tell me, the time stamp… and saw the picture you posted, but the video didn’t show it??

Really interested….as apparently, you have alot of insight!!! Or…???? Not real.

Thanks.
That video was posted 2 days ago but again not sure how accurate it is but it does show a picture of the new grille in the thumbnail preview. I am just wondering if they will follow suit with the sport edition like they did with the CT5 with the interior thigh extensions. There is no official information which is very discouraging. I also hope they offer the red color for 2024. It is gorgeous.

It's reasonable to presume that the Cadillac trim strategy will start to roll into the Lyriq for Model Year 2024. This article about it is from GMAuthority: 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Sport Spied Testing: Exclusive (gmauthority.com) (Source of the earlier posted picture.) We're not in the window for 2024 cars until January, I wouldn't expect to see a full feature list for them until much closer to then. I agree that V-series won't be out for a few more years.

I jerry-rigged a simple foam-cushion thigh extension for my Bolt Premium's sucky driver's seat back in 2017, been finding it a butt-saver ever since for long drives (and yes my wallet was partway to blame, but only partway). My previous EV the Toyota Mirai didn't need any such nonsense, and I was assuming my Lyriq DE wouldn't either and I could donate my thigh-extension to the Red Cross.

But with all these nasturtiums being cast here on the Lyriq's seat now, my home-made thigh extension may be in for its Second Life. :(

If a short a$$ like me and my twin here at 5' 7" are finding the seats a bit too short, I hope that Cadillac is paying attention.

Yes, I am picky about any seat that I am sitting, I am the same with my furniture.

I am still wondering about the out-board rear seats bottom being different from the left to the right cheek, depending on which rear seat they're are sitting?
