The axle broke as i was getting onto the belt pkwy. I went over a man whole "cover" and the tire lost grip and when the tire came off the cover the tire grab and the alxe broke =) I was hoping it was the rear, oh well... It was dry out too =(
-Anybody else do that, axle?

-I tooks pic's because i had to take the BMR pinion brace off:highfive:
- How will they git the other half out the rear? I wines too =)
-And check out my own undercoating Job, it looks good and will make the car last even longer, well atleast untill 2009 =). No i dont drive the car in the winter and i try to not let her get too wet in the summer.
Car's now fully Stock, it had: Exhaust, BMR, CAI, and still l.e.d's

Those are just the type of pictures of "rearend/axle failures" that the fellow from the NHTSA was requesting:bouncy: (Look at the "stickey" on the forum regarding same) Afterall, it's not everyone that will lay down their axle for their fellow V'ers.:stirpot:
I had the same failure on the passengers side during a 1-2 shift. What year is yours? Mine is an '04 and the axles were replaced with '06's which I believe are stronger.
yeah mine is an 04 too. I hope the driver side one wont go...
But just an update, i towed the car in and the guy goes "You Know Your Not Goin To get your Car back anytime soon...." So i go: "G thanks =)" NO PROBLEM, It is Summer, as i should be driving and Now waiting until my car gets fixed.
They have to fix:
"the axle"
"Rear end noies"
"Competitive mode wont display"
"Reverse pops out and the car is had to shift"
"The wires that go to the starter are all burnT and shitty looking from the heat of the STOCK header" The car would not start sometimes because of those wires."
"The center A/C vent is lose after they replaced the Nav." =)
I think they got there hands full. They most likey WILL just do the Axle, a/c vent, competitve mode if they are smart enoght to figure it out (COM). and thats it they will leave everything else and say theres nothing wrong =) They wont replace anything unless its fully broken...

A guy from the dealer calls today and says that he would like to buy my car. So i was like so how much. He goes on to tell me that someones been beating on the car and that the car needs a lot of work and if i would like to get rid of this car he would like to buy it from me. Then he tells me that a lot of the work wont be covered under warranty ("cars stock") i was like are you joking i'll build myself a new car before i sell it to You. So i told him this is why i have warranty. What i should of told me was I have warranty "SO I CAN BEAT ON THIS FCUKIN CAR UNTIL IT FALLS APART" But i really dont beat on HER. No tracks or quarter miles all street =) He was tryin to get me to sell the car for cheap. i told him give me kbb value, then he goes oh i dont want to pay that much =). At the halfway point of the conv. i was yelling at the guy, then i had to clam down because he does have my car at his dealer AND I DO WANT IT BACK SOON. Any body have any nice dealer in N.Y.? hOWS CONTE?
Get the guys name and go talk to the owner of the dealership.What a bunch of crap.I bet he has a buyer already.
he works for the dealer in the service department, he's a coworker of the guy who signed my car in "wrote my car up.". I really can only wonder how my car is doin in there??? i pisses me off not to know how my car is, i know everyone in the dealer wants to drive it and "beat on it"

I definitely second what Heavy suggested: Get in touch with the GM and tell him about the phone call.
I was not kidding.I bet he had/has a buyer and is just trying to put a deal together.I am sure the service manager would like to speak to him to.
I really dont know what went on or whats goin on but i just want my car back aready.
Go to King O'Rourke in Smithtown. My car is going in Thursday for a few things, inspection, drivers side mirror and to check the rear. My 2004's rear had been fine for about 14000 miles but now has clunk on nearily every shift and is whineing alot louder. Just noticed some drops on garage floor under the diff. I'll let you know how they take care of it.
I like to call the dealer, ask if they're working on my car after it's been there for a day, they always say yes...then just show up out of the blue and walk over to my car, look around it, notice that it hasn't even been moved, then start shit with the service director....Now the only people that drive my car at my dealer are the shop foreman, and the service writer (to park it)...if you bitch enough you get what you want...and the service writer saying y'know your not gonna get your car back for a while is bull...nobody says that, there is always a promise date...not just 'a while' if parts are on backorder then thats a different story...maybe you need to go in there with your parents or someone older...they tried to give me shit at first too since I'm younger that 99.9% of the people there.
*sigh* This thread annoys me. A large percentage of people are rude as hell to us when they come in to the Dealership, and idiots like this guy are the reason why. What baffles me is how these places stay in business.

Express to the Service Manager your displeasure with the way everything has been handled- the lack of a promised date, the accusation that you abuse your car and an employee trying to buy your car. The General Manager would be especially interested in the last one, as that's what we in the business refer to as "curbing"- it means using the store to conduct your own business and cutting the company out of the loop. Most dealers will fire immediately for it.
Remember: Be firm, but be professional. Act like a Cadillac owner and you'll get treated like one.

well this is the story, i broke the axle on saturday, and i got my towtruck and towed it to my shop, removed some things and shipped it to the dealer. the reason they say i wont get the car back is because i didit have an appointment. So i was goin to make a fake appointment just to make sure i really dont get fcuked w/out a car but they asked for the vin. and they told me that they would call back with an appointment. i asked the lady when i called and she said that their backed up. So i believe their backed up. I'm not being a dick at all to the dealer i'm just trying to get my car back w/out dent and etc. I'll be calling the dealer ship every friday until i get the car back.
P.S. "ONE BAD V" WHERE IS THAT DEALER? I KNOW IN LONG ISLAND BUT WHERE? YOU GOIN TO GET A LOANER?
