I recently bought a 2006 CTS, after 3 days the theftlock came on along with traction control light once the theftlock comes on, I can't rolled my windows down, the radio powers off and I can't take the key out of the ignition until after several attempts then the I can remove the key. The dealer replaced the ecm and 2 days after getting it out of the shop and spending $3000 the problem begun again. I took it back and they don't have a clue. Its been in the shop for 2 days now. Any suggestions?

I bought a 04 CTS about a year ago. I encountered some of the same issues as you. My car stopped cutting on and the key keeps getting stuck in the ignition. I replaced my ECU and my car ran fine for about 2 months but now the problems came back. Do you think I need to change my ECM as well? I noticed this problem occurred for you in 2013 maybe you can help now. Any information would be helpful.

The OP is probably not going to answer. I think it was his only post. The fact that you replaced the ECU which temporarily fixed problem makes me think corrosion in the connectors. Clean/inspect and use D5 and dielectric grease. See if that helps first. Good Luck
