Re: The Wall Street Journal on the CTS-V Coupe: "It makes German rivals look like tax

Great article. And yes, I agree that the V coupe....or the sedan, for that matter, is a man's car.

Thank you for the link.

I like how the author talks about the exhaust sounds on overrun - the first I've read a review on the CTS-V that even mentions it. When I drive with my windows down, I can hear the crackle, pop, and occassional boom through the exhaust on decel. At first I didn't think it was normal being that this is a Cadillac and all, but then again, this is a 556hp Cadillac with a legendary LSx engine, so of course it's normal! The LS6 in my '02 Z06 does it on decel too, only much louder, and I love it. The only thing that would be better is if flames shot out the exhaust at night on decel, along with the booms. :D

I agree, the comments are the best. Very similar to the response I received from my old "friends" at the BMW 5 Series forums after I reported on my own decision to purchase a CTS-V over the new 550i. The irony is that the BMW/Mercedes/Audi fan boys think they're the sophisticates over us dumb hicks purchasing Cadillacs, but their own provincialism prevents them from purchasing the superior car.
