Just wanted to shout out how fantastic these cars are. With the whole virus thing I’ve been working from home primarily with my only driving being to the grocery store. I ended up spending 6 hours in the V-Sport in the last day taking my son on a road trip to see family and was immediately reminded of what a special car this is. Such a nice balance of comfort and performance. Being able to pass slow pokes at ease while riding down the road with a cooled seat is a fun experience. In real world driving, this car is every bit as quick as my GT500 was.

Indeed these cars are special. I have and had many performance cars in my collection and my V-Sport is one of my favorites just a special blend of muscle, comfort, and luxury. Drove mine on a 5000 plus miles road trip last summer and it even gave me around 29 mpgs too. I sold my Chevy SS to my son, ... so driving my V-Sport more, my wife would not drive the SS any longer after the last break-down and my oldest son wanted the SS so off it went.

Oh, the V-Sport is also great on a track if you ever get the chance. One of my Cousins liked the V-Sport so much he bought two for his collection.

I was at the caddy dealer yesterday for service on my v-sport and while out in the car yard I heard a very familiar v8 start up. I had a 16 Chevy ss 6mt for 3 years and it had the best sounding exhaust I’ve ever heard for a factory system. Anyway, this silver ice ss drives by in first gear and then takes off. Gave me chills it sounded so good And it was factory. I love my v-sport and it performs as well or better than the ss but the v8 symphony from the ss is music!

Yes, there is no substitute for a V8 rumble. I had Pypes Violators on my GT500 that sounded wicked. That and the 6 speed manual are still missed.

I’m hoping some day I’ll be in a position to have such a car again as a weekend toy.

Yes, the V-8 rumble is about the only thing missing from my V-Sport. But ... I still have my 2011 Corvette with the mild to wild exhaust and the V-8 sound is only a button switch away when I want it ... and it gives me 6 HP more power. Although when in the loud mode it gives a bit of drone on the highway and my wife will sometimes turn it off when she wants to talk.

My V-Sport sounds good inside and when in Track mode because the engine noise is piped in.

I bought my 2014 in 2017. It is by far the best car I have ever had. Yes, I also miss the sound of a good V8, but this car runs so strong when asked, is mellow when you're mellow, and gets great gas mileage for a car with this capability. And far a V6 it doesn't sound bad, but nothing can touch that tuned V8 sound. Oh well, it ticks all the other check boxes, a small price to pay for such a well balanced machine.

Super old thread, new member here:

This V-Sport IS awesome! Handling is amazing.
I'm very fortunate and grateful to also have an early generation Viper. My brother asks me how I like my V-Sport compared to the GTS, I tell him: "If you take away the traction control, abs, auto braking, cruise control, and a handful of other nannies, the seat of the pants experience feels exactly like my Viper. The only difference is Viper feels like Constant-Violence and the V-Sport feels like On-Demand-Aggression."

If you are referring to the Cobra GT500, then there is no way your car is as fast.

Since we are all loving our Vsports here, i'll throw in this little story. I was at a track event two weeks ago with 2 late model mustangs in my group. One was a Shelby GT something, the other was a GT 500. Keeping in mind that I have maybe $1000 invested into a tune with some hardware along with some decent tires and a proper alignment, I could run down either car pretty much at will. I knew that track pretty well and probably have more experience than those guys, but going thru any turns, the big ones the small ones, the Vsport really shines relative to other fairly large, heavy cars. The Shelby didn't see the checkered flag for a cool down lap and he passed me. He later apologized and said that's the only way he was going to catch me so he took the opportunity.

Nice! If the late model mustangs involved were current generation GT350’s and GT500’s then I suspect you are a much better driver than those guys as the current Shelby’s are nasty fast. Much different than my old 08 (although I will always have a soft spot for the 07-09 GT500).
