I didn't crash it but it'll be a while before I'm behind the wheel of another V series Cadillac. Had the '06's come out when they were supposed to I'm sure I wouldn't have done this but I turned the car in early and leased a black XLR. To say the two cars are different would be a massive understatement.

I actually got it on Halloween night and it instantly brought back memories of the triple black Black C5 I drove a couple of years ago ( the bat mobile ). I'm sure most of you guys are thinking, why didn't you get the Z06? Well, maybe next time, or if they make it, a Corvette SS.

So far the coolest feature on the XLR (to me): the moving head lights. It's instantly noticable and not only does it look cool, they really help.

Best of luck to all of you guys and to future V owners. The V rocks...

So many great cars and sooooo little time. I'm in for another year then I'm trading. 2007 CTS-V? Maybe. Z06? Definitely. Both? Probably. :histeric: It's a sickness I tell yah!

Awww... I alternate between wanting to hang onto this car forever, and wanting to move on. So far, hanging on is winning.

:hmm: I looked at a 2006 Corvette at the local dealer yesterday. They had a Maroon (?) XLR and a Corvette close together. The XLR is classy, but I'd have to go with the Corvette. Bottom line - two great choices. Enjoy the XLR.

Boy that is me too. I love the current ride, but I am constantly feeling the pull for something new. I am simultaneously thinking about mods to improve the one I have and think about changing rides. The only thing keeping me where I am is the cost of changing. OK, enough talk about my wife.:nono:

cvp33,

I think you really need to buy that GTO now.
I almost did when the incentives got crazy on the '04's I was very tempted. I believe by price was right around $22K. That's a hell of a lot of car for $22K. :lildevil:
