Hello,

I have a 97 Cadillac Seville STS. There is a plastic cover under the hood attached to the bumper. I got it torn when I was stuck into a pile of snow this summer. I told my mechanic toremove it since it wasn't looking good. I thought it was for astethic purposes only. But my mechanic said that I shouldn't remove it because it directs the airflow inside the hood and prevent overheating. He attached it back again with zip ties. But it's still torn. I want to replace it if I can. So what is that thing exactly called and how can I find a new one?

If it's the top one it's a "radiator sight shield". If it's the lower one it's either an "air deflector" or some variation of air dam.
........... BUT, different yards and dealers call it/them by different names.

Look in www.nalleygmc.com or www.gmpartsgiant.com
