I need some assistance here i'm about to go the dealer. I had my oil changed at Jiffy Lube. I think that was a huge mistake. Now the oil idiot light comes on periodically. And then goes away . Today it actually started to scream . Good thing i was 2 blocks from home i just parked it . Any thoughts ? I'm sorry if i'm asking a question that was posed b4 . I'm still kinda new hear. Got a 98 Cat with 75k on it.

Well, this is gonna sound dumb, but did you check the dipstick to see how low it is? Check under the car to see if oil is dripping off the drainplug or the oil filter cap? Also, don't mean to cause an alarm but look in the coolant reservoir to make sure it isn't being pushed into the cooling system.

Yeah i'm sorry that i didn't mention it but i have checked the dip stick every time i saw the light. The car dosen't seem to be leaking any oil. As for the coolant res , i'll check that next i know that that is a symtom of this car. A little afraid of what i'll find.
