We are getting an influx of new XT5 members which is awesome :) Part of that experience, in my mind, is to share some pics of your new ride with your fellow XT5 guys and gals. I waited for months to take delivery of my Platinum and couldn't wait to posts some pics. Hoping the folks who continue to join don't look at this place as somewhere to just ask questions about this or that but also a place to share some XT5 pictures. I think we all agree the XT5 is a sweet ride and considering the price of admission, why not share some of the love :)

Sweet looking ride indeed!

BTW: what does "Open Road" mean just above the rear XT5 emblem?

It's the dealer's name. So, that must be their badge. I hate dealer badges. Most at least make an effort to make a nice looking badge, but it appears that "Open Road Cadillac" likes to use cheap vinyl letters on your $70K car.

I had a vinyl dealer sticker on my XT5 (as well); I chose to take it off. I carefully (with a finger nail) lifted a small corner of the vinyl, sprayed a little Goo Gone and patiently peeled until the sticker came off. If you decide to remove yours, and use the Goo Gone (or similar) method, I believe I would tape off where the "XTS" resides so as not to loosen that bond. By the way, nice ride (I've got the white too; luxury model thought).

Our '16 Escalade Platinum had one on similar as well. When my wife and I bought it, I asked why there was a $2 vinyl sticker saying the dealership's name on my $95K vehicle. And then I told them that not only am I not a fan of a crappy cheap $2 sticker on my $95K vehicle, but I was not interested in being a mobile billboard for them. They apologized, and offered to take it off but I said no. We took the car home, and I have a detailing wheel because I take great pride in making my cars look great, so I use Chemical Guys products to do that. I removed the sticker with some Goo Gone and my 3M eraser wheel. Then I gave it my special treatment. I used the foam cannon, hand washed it with microfiber mitt, etc. Then, when I was done with all that, I waxed it. One of my main concerns was getting off the cheap Walmart brand chemicals the detailing shop at the Cadillac dealer put on. Then, I went to the interior. I wiped down all the leather, and put protectant on. I use Chemical Guys products, from the foam cannon, to the soap, microfiber towels, and interior products from them, etc. I have used their products for a long time. They work great.

I have always used a hair dryer to heat up those stick-on vinyl adhesive stickers and then used floss to gently lift up the back side of the sticker .... works very quickly and is easy and safe to do. :)

As others said, it's the dealership name. It's also long gone - about 2 minutes after taking those photos I peeled it off with my fingernail.

I can't stand dealer advertising, and the license plate frames will also disappear once the plates come in.

It's an amazing ride... absolutely stunning in every way!! Although, my wife said she prefers the sharp angles on the SRX. The interior, however, is night & day better!

I agree! It's so annoying that after paying 10's of thousands of dollars, the dealerships still want to mooch off you and get more business. The absolute least they could do if they're going to use your brand new luxury car as a billboard on wheels is make a nice emblem. Some dealers do. Others use those cheap 2 dollar vinyl stickers.

First post. Let me say, I was really taken when I saw the new XT5. It may be pricey, but once you compare it to equivalents, it is a fair price.

That RED PASSION sure is good looking. I have a Silver Coast on order TPW is 10/17- 10/23... but am having second thoughts. I live on a gravel road and have to beware of dust. Was thinking if I got the windows tinted on the front doors to be darker, it may make the Silver Coast "pop" a little more. My production codes are low enough that I could still opt for the RED. Any thoughts from the peanut gallery? I understand colors are always personal, but appreciate feedback. I am just a wee bit concerned the Silver Coast may detract from the "rich" appeal. Then again, some may think it is also classy in a special way. If anyone has any shots of Silver Coast, please post! I ordered mine color sight unseen, though I did test drive the vehicle itself.

CrustyWipe? I hope that is his username or handle? LOL I wonder if that is his customer in front of the XT5?

I think the silver coast looks nice but then almost any color would look great on an XT5! :)

The loaner '16 SRX my dealer gave me while waiting for my XT5 delivery was silver coast metallic. Not my choice of color but it looks better on the XT5 Platinum (based on this picture) than I remember from the SRX. The gentleman whose face I blurred I'm sure is not crusty as all...this is his third Cadillac purchased from my sales guy :)
