Since it's only two weeks until Halloween, here is a website of an excellent Halloween display/show in my area...
http://www.hauntinggrounds.org

When you guys have a chance, check out the "images" section and let me know what you think.
It's not my show; a friend runs it and is the creator. He's been doing it every year since 1973, but unfortunately he said this will be his last year.

A very professional show- sophisticated lighting and sound effects. Over 40 speakers and underground wiring are used plus projection systems. It's not the type of show where someone jumps out from behind a bush to scare guests- it's a more mysterious-type show- the kind I prefer.

I've been going every year since 1994 and have taken many photos.

Very near me, there is a man (extremely wealthy) who does the same, but for Christmas. He begins assembling his display right after Halloween. His home is about 5 million with huge property, The world is invited to walk thru his grounds. It is all beyond my ability to explain. It is mind boggling! Everything moves, and is motorized, angels walk across the lawns, via remote control, carrollers sing, robots in costume hand out cany canes to kids, the owner & wife are out there to welcome all. It's been on New York TV. Last year he had over 1,000 guests. The town's cops keep traffic moving. It is beyond....way beyond anything that can be described. This Halloween deal seems similiar. I'd love to see it, but sadly, never will......

That Christmas one sounds very elaborate. Do you know how many years the person has been doing it?
It sounds very good- especially the part of being motorized.

Yes, I would say that this Halloween show is not really near your neighborhood!

He has been doing it about 18 years. The cops hate it because it's a million dollar @ house private area of narrow streets. The traffic jam is intense. But, e'one is in good spirits, so they (the police) grin & bear with it. It's simply hughmongous in size. Hehas a double lot, and it stretchs from his to his other... At the end, there's usually a wheelborrow in which to put contributions. He donates 100% of them to the local burn unit at the nearby hospital. He also hands out cany canes for the kids, and ~HOT~ coffee to the adults. The guy is just too much. He thanks everyone for coming !
He has an 8 car ATTACHED garage, but I've never been able to see what's in there.
