The end of an era.

On Wednesday, someone from California will be flying in and driving my Q45 home. Its been my best three years and 50,000 miles, ever. Instead of getting married, I ditched the girl, bought the Q, and moved away to finish school. Best decision I ever made. :)

I could have kept it, as everything mechanically was quite spectacular, but I figured it was just time to move on. I've owned a dozen cars over the past five years, so I was getting the itch.

I wept a little bit after he called to confirm his flight info. *sigh* He's a fellow Nissan enthusiast who promised to take good care of it for me, and California is a great place for a car to live out its final ten years (highest recorded mileage on a Q45 is 450k, and still going). I offered it at less than half of book value to NICO members who were willing to give it the love and attention it deserved.

Whats funny is that as I typed this, Dionne Warwick's "I'll Never Love This Way Again" began playing in iTunes. :hmm: :)
Later this week and throw together a musical goodbye video. So sad.

I've seen most of the country in this car, at high and low speeds, on freeways and scenic byways.

140mph seems like an appropriate ending to a love affair.

I'd prefer the girl any day.

:histeric: you wuss!!! :histeric:
Besides the Maxima, what's up next?

And who's the girl?
cute girl Jesda :)
Letting go is tough, from what you've told us she was a damn fine car. Hopefully you'll have luck like this again in the future. :)
And yes, cute girl!
Ex-fiance. Replaced her with the car and moved away to finish school, basically.

As my book business expands, my next purchase might actually be a Chevy Astro or Express. I've been using the GMC Vandura, which belongs to the company my parents own, and its not always available to me. Otherwise it'll be a 94 Q45 or a mid 90s Seville.
You are going to miss that Q
I actually feel a little sorry that you are selling it, as I do
know how much you loved that Q.

By reading my posts I am sure that you know that I am far from
in love with foreign cars, but gun to head syndrome, the only 2
I'd consider is the new Q (actually ANY Q), the Audi A8 and the
VW Phaeton W-12 - 2+2. When the business expands and the van is
purchased I see another Q in your garage. Good Luck in the business.
How does the Deville strike you Jesda?

Anyway, nice Q, well, we all have to move on...
I envy you Jesda. I've wanted a Q45 since 2002(I almost bought a 1994 but was beat to the punch) when I first saw them. Yours looks great. Well hopefully you'll find another car one day that will take her place.

Strikes me as pretty sweet, actually. Other than coil packs I hear they're pretty dependable (2000+), and the DTS is supposed to be nice to drive. However, if I want something newer, the low resale of the Mitsu Diamante makes it attractive.
Well at least it's a happy ending because it's going to another good owner. My old 78 went to the junkyard back in August and I'm still sad about it.
yeah I would have to go with the 93-96 STS if I was you!

Or maybe a 97-99 Aurora??
wheres the pic of you crying?:tongue2:
haha im just kidding buddy!

Nice bumper Stickers!
Eventually you will love another.

ps. love the bumper stickers.
Definately good bumper stickers!
