On Wednesday, someone from California will be flying in and driving my Q45 home. Its been my best three years and 50,000 miles, ever. Instead of getting married, I ditched the girl, bought the Q, and moved away to finish school. Best decision I ever made.
I could have kept it, as everything mechanically was quite spectacular, but I figured it was just time to move on. I've owned a dozen cars over the past five years, so I was getting the itch.
I wept a little bit after he called to confirm his flight info. *sigh* He's a fellow Nissan enthusiast who promised to take good care of it for me, and California is a great place for a car to live out its final ten years (highest recorded mileage on a Q45 is 450k, and still going). I offered it at less than half of book value to NICO members who were willing to give it the love and attention it deserved.
Whats funny is that as I typed this, Dionne Warwick's "I'll Never Love This Way Again" began playing in iTunes. :hmm:
Later this week and throw together a musical goodbye video. So sad.
