I'm jealous... Do you have a weight distribution hitch or did you just drop the boat on the standard hitch? What brake controller do you use?

Stock hitch and no brake controller...the trailer just has surge brakes.

We found the limit on the air shocks.

Whats the limit on the down force on the hitch.... that looks way over the limit.... figure the trailer has about 300lbs and the boat about 3000lbs ...

Tongue weight is about 500lbs right now I think...pushing it but not terrible.1st trip off the trailer and I will set her back on the trailer another couple inches. That will lighten it up a notch. That pic just makes it look like it is all on the truck. The eyelet on the boat is about a foot down from the winch as it sits right now.

3-400 lbs is about right to keep it from bouncing.

You did better than me. I pulled a 26' approx 6000lbs travel trailer about 4500 miles and I only averaged 7.0 MPG, maybe something to do with the supercharger. It was thirsty but I could pass everyone up hill.

You probably had a lot fo wind resistance going on.I had a little 6x12 enclosed trailer and it was high.Well on thehighway it was like a wall and really held the truck back.Almost like a sail.

Nice choice on the rims!

I got the chrome inserts for them as well. I switched them up for a month or so but the black just looks so much better.
I like them and all but the chroma job is less than stellar. They have to be clean all the time.

The motor in the boat comes out tommorrow hopefully.

The only odd thing about pulling this back was the occassional sway on unlevel parts of I4.To be expecting when pulling something wihtout load levelers that weighs far more than the tow vehicle.
Those 305/40-22's do a good job of reducing the sway.It would be far worse with the tall 75 series 17's they come stock with.
