Well my wife has a 2002 Infiniti I35. The carpet, right where the floor mat sits, develpoped a cut. The dealer agrees to warranty it (which was a surprise to me), and gives my wife a 2004 G35 sedan for a loaner. It has all wheel drive also. I took it out on Monday night. First impression, seats are extremely comfortable and supportive. Dash lighting isn't to my liking (orange lights). Ride is very smooth. Acceleration is amazing. It is definitley faster than the SLS, and my wifes I35. Two drawbacks that I found. As mentioned before, the orange dash lighting. Also, the transmission seems to be on a turbo lag set-up. You mash the throttle, while already moving, and it takes up tp a full second to respond. This may be due to the traction control, I am not sure. But, once the tranny kicks down, hold on. She really takes off. If they do not have the I finished by tomorrow night, I will take it out again, to do more "research". It is in no way the fastest car on the road, but very fast indeed. If I was in the market for a new sedan, The G35 would be a contender.

G35's are awesome cars!
Great build quality, superb handling, great motor, very reliable, luxurious, comfortable.

Doesnt that 3.5 V6 sound nice??

300 hp? In the 3.5? My wifes '02 is rated 245, and the '04 is rated 260. Maybe your are thinking of the 4.5? But anyway, the G is a nice car. Hopefully we will hook up with each other tomorrow evening. I got some experimenting to do.

I was acutally thinkin about gettin an 03 G35 sedan, but ended up getting the CTS instead. I still really like the G35, but Im happy with the CTS. Anyone notice the G35 (especially the front) kinda looks like a rounded CTS??? Similiar design, just one is angular and one is round.

For 2006 the VQ35?? motor (Help me on that one Jesda) is supposedly rated for 300HP in both the 350Z and the G35.

I'm probably the odd-duck here, I really don't care for the G. It's just a Nissan with an orange dash. The back seat makes me sick, and the front seat makes me unimpressed. I think the lines are boring too. Don't mean to offend anyone, just think the G is, well, boring!

I like the G35 coupe, but I absolutely hate the way it sounds. I don't think I could live with a car, that had that kind of exhaust note. Maybe it's just me, but if it doesn't have that deep throaty roar, I just don't like it. Too me, it sounds like a Honda with a really fancy exhaust system. There just something about it......kind of tinny and hollow.

DAMMIT!! The wife just called me, her I is done. So the G is going back right now. I was looking forward to another evening with it. Oh well, what can you do? Anyway, I was quite impressed with it overall. I didn't notice a foul exhaust note to it, but really wasn't paying that close attention. I am also amazed at the hp ratings that were posted above, for the 3.5. Those are some nice numbers, for a v-6. I didn't get to enjoy the hp wars of the '60's, and am wondering when the current hp wars will end. Hopefully not for a long time. The engines being produced today are amazing. Well gotta go sulk now.
