Question: I have a 93 Seville with about 85K miles. I was told I needed the water pump replaced which I did. Now for the first tme the temp reading comes on. It will show various temps all above 210 degrees. Some times it will show a temp then it will disappear only to reappear later. The highest reading was 240. Is there perhaps a sensor that needs to be reset? The pump was only replaced two days ago with a new belt installed. Could there be a break in issue? or is this cause for concern and should I stop driving until I can get it to the shop?
Thanks

I'd start with Ranger's suggestion then I'd check to make sure the pressure cap is holding pressure correctly, over time the spring wears out, my 98 Eldo had a cap that was holding less than acceptable levels and it was only 5 years old at the time, I think a new cap costs all of about $10...
