I have a 2001 Deville DTS with 85K miles. Just yesterday I discovered that when the telescopic steering wheel is past the 50% out position, the car will die. My memory seat position #1 is the steering wheel is 100% out. Memory seat position #2 is the steering wheel is 30% out. The car dies after 3 seconds in position #1 but works fine in position seat #2. But if I am in #2 and I manually adjust the steering wheel to come out past the 50% mark the engine will die, even when driving on the rode. If the car engine dies and I put the steering wheel back in under the 50% mark the lights on the dash turn back and I can turn the key to turn the engine back on. Kind of scary if on the highway I or my wife adjust the steering wheel. Any thoughts or ideas?
