Are there any upgrades available for the swaybar on non-MRC cars?
Is an STSV bar any better?
Other options?
Is the STSV larger front and rear?
Thanks Doc!
Hello,
You can run the STS-V sway bar. It is larger in diameter compared to the factory STS sway bar. There is no aftermarket offering available at this time. Let us know if you need help getting that part.

Do you have part numbers for this? I can look it up through GMpartsdirect, or perhaps order through you. Not sure when/if I'll do this, just trying to get an idea of what options exist. I'd love to lower my car, but I don't want it to ride any stiffer, and most/all lowering springs are a higher spring rate. Swaybars tend to be a good option to improve lean without inherantly resulting in a harsher ride.
I wish they made an afternarket sway bar for the V's, then they would upgrade and we could pick up their old ones. I did that for my old CTS and it was a nice upgrade for 100 bucks.
GMpartsdirect will run you 124 for the rear V bar and I think 144 for the front. Thats like 270 plus shipping.
It seems like if you really wanted the most bang for the buck, the rear V bar would be the way to go, bumping your 17mm (or 19mm) stock to a 24mm. Thats a significant change if you have a V6 and a pretty decent change with a V8.
The front you're only talking a slight change, plus the V front bar is more expensive than the rear.
