Super Cruise issue

First trip in the LYRIQ. Going to Little Rock Super Cruise worked perfectly. On return trip SC started acting up. I first noticed when in the right lane of the freeway it kept disengaging saying lane ending. Then if in the right lane and passing an exit lane it would disengage and say driving in exit lane. It wouldn’t do either if I was in the left lane. It continued when I got near home and was driving familiar roads it had worked normally on since purchase

it seemed like the car thought it was most of one lane further right than it actually was. Quite a few bug strikes on the drive, could bugs smashed on a sensor cause this?

@REIDB, you really need to read the Owner's Manual. Everything both @hightech-guy and I posted are contained in the Owner's Manual.

From the section on Super Cruise:
Super Cruise should not be used in
complex or uncertain driving conditions,
including:
. Not in construction zones.
. Not when approaching or exiting toll
plazas.
. Not when approaching an intersection
that is controlled with a traffic light,
stop sign, or other traffic control
device.
. Not when lane markings are not
present or cannot be detected. For
example, there is too much glare,
weather conditions are poor, or lanes
are poorly marked.
. Not on slippery or icy roads.
. Not in adverse weather conditions,
including rain, sleet, fog, ice, or snow.
. Not on winding or hilly roads.
. Not for city driving.
. Not during heavy or emergency
braking.
. Not on surface streets.
. Not on a road shoulder, service drive,
or under an elevated freeway.
. Not when towing a trailer.
. Not in a highway exit lane.

And from LKA sections:
LKA may assist by gently turning
the steering wheel if the vehicle approaches
a detected lane marking. It may also provide
a Lane Departure Warning (LDW) alert if the
vehicle crosses a detected lane marking. This
system is not intended to keep the vehicle
centered in the lane.

The LKA system does not continuously
steer the vehicle. It may not keep the
vehicle in the lane
or give a Lane
Departure Warning (LDW) alert, even if a
lane marking is detected.

Even with LKA and LDW, you must steer
the vehicle.

The odd thing I found about this situation is that the automatic forward collision braking system did not kick in to prevent you from running straight into the wall. You'd think that'd be the whole point of the auto braking features instead of what we have of it just jerking you around in reverse in the rain 🤣
