Same. I was holding out some hope that maybe this update would activate it. Not looking forward to sticking a dash cam in my nice Lyriq one day, but also don't want to be without one. Just a few days ago my dash camera caught an incident on the road that has saved a good friend of mine from a 'he said she said' type of claim (I happened to be on the road behind them). When I originally purchased my dash cam it paid for itself in the first month when I was the recipient of a hit and run. Insurance saw the video and wrote it up as 'uninsured motorist' which cut my deductible WAY down. There are other stories over the years too....

I was very excited for this feature. I will still hold out hope that they bring it to fruition since they are taking the time to continue to outfit the vehicles with the hardware (SD slot).
As always with Cadillac, if you're not happy with the car on the day you buy it, then don't buy it. There's never any guarantee that Cadillac will ever add in additional features like Tesla does. Looks like it kept its promise for SuperCruise and low-end Surround Vision, so perhaps there's hope. But I wouldn't count on it, especially since the feature was deleted from the order guide. Remember that Tesla has this functionality, and Cadillac doesn't want what Tesla has for some reason. Wouldn't want 100% satisfied customers when they can nail 65%!

I am taking mine in Tuesday. Both parts are booked at 3.x hours each. It may be shorter, but that is the time Cadillac wants the dealer to spend with the car and doing a test drive with it. I am taking mine in at 7:30 a.m. and hopping to get it by the end of the day. I plan on staying with it for a little while in the morning, then going in to the office.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen you write a single positive thing about Cadillac or the lyriq. Why are you here? Why do you keep talking about a car you hate? Just go to your tesla forum and be happy.

I really hope the recording feature is implemented. I think it's a very important feature, even more than HUD in my personal opinion. After seeing how tesla cameras/sentry mode works, I don't see why they wouldn't want to implement the feature to be competitive - especially since the hardware is already there!
I do not see the technical problem since all Chinese Lyriq have the recording from day one, same as many other Chinese models which kind like a must have future to help resolve the issues raised from car accidents. Possible reasons for not having recording here may due to legal issues or simply feel no urgent needs as in China market?

My dealer has had my car for a full 2 days (and now over the weekend). They were able to fix (or so I am told) all the audio issues, Google Assistant, Siri, etc, but I guess the SuperCruise update isn't a straightforward installation. Here's to hoping it'll be good to go after one more day of work....
Dealer's friend enjoy your Lyriq and having a wonderful weekend trip now :)

No one knows the roadmap for the software updates. We don’t know for sure if it’s a cancelled feature or if it’s still baking.

Two Things.

1) some one asked were the SD card goes. It is located in the wheel well on the left side. I saw it there yesterday.
2) One person point out about the Recall notice being taken off the App. for super cruise Has the software been pulled back and no longer being installed?

I dropped mine off at 2 pm and it was ready about the same time the next day. Not sure what it means, but I saw the invoice the dealer turns into GM for reimbursement and it was just south of $700.

And THAT is probably a big reason why so many DE Lyriqs were set to be held back for update prior to delivery to dealers.

Because I have a reservation for a 2024 Lyriq and therefore have every right to post here. Perhaps if you can't handle valid negative criticism of this car and Cadillac, this forum may not be the place for you? Peace 🤞
funny, you even admit that your “valid criticism” that “Cadillacs will never be anything more than what is shipped with the car” has already been proven wrong based on the supercruise and surround vision updates, but you keep copying and pasting the same nonsensensical BS in every other thread. I just find trolls to be annoying, and that’s all you seem to be.

cheers.

dial down the personal comments. Discuss the issues. Good grief, some of you are quibbling over issues & features that may not even exist when you get the car. Here's a promise: if discussing issues devolves into personal attacks, you're gone.

brought in lyriq 12p for the update since I saw available appointments. when I called in the morning the gentleman said he won’t take it today. Should have just made an appointment online and dropped it off in the morning. Anyways service department closes at 3p and they said it takes 4-5 hours for the update. so will need to leave the lyriq and pick up Monday. Anybody else experience different turnaround time? Obviously the 4-5 hours is a guess so who knows.
Got my lyriq back 3-20 11:23 it was completed. Haven’t gotten a chance to test it out as I had them drop it home for me. But would assume it was an easy install unless they kept it running through Saturday and Sunday.
