As always with Cadillac, if you're not happy with the car on the day you buy it, then don't buy it. There's never any guarantee that Cadillac will ever add in additional features like Tesla does. Looks like it kept its promise for SuperCruise and low-end Surround Vision, so perhaps there's hope. But I wouldn't count on it, especially since the feature was deleted from the order guide. Remember that Tesla has this functionality, and Cadillac doesn't want what Tesla has for some reason. Wouldn't want 100% satisfied customers when they can nail 65%!Same. I was holding out some hope that maybe this update would activate it. Not looking forward to sticking a dash cam in my nice Lyriq one day, but also don't want to be without one. Just a few days ago my dash camera caught an incident on the road that has saved a good friend of mine from a 'he said she said' type of claim (I happened to be on the road behind them). When I originally purchased my dash cam it paid for itself in the first month when I was the recipient of a hit and run. Insurance saw the video and wrote it up as 'uninsured motorist' which cut my deductible WAY down. There are other stories over the years too....
I was very excited for this feature. I will still hold out hope that they bring it to fruition since they are taking the time to continue to outfit the vehicles with the hardware (SD slot).
