I wonder if the update was too large for OTA and they needed external storage or perhaps they needed a test run after install to make sure it took so they created this recall.Recall is valid.

They use TECHLINE CONNECT you can also subscribe to this service and do it at your home if you have all the correct equipment BUT it is difficult to setup.

Probably to large of a package to install all at once over OTA, if GM does do an OTA update for Super Cruise it will be split up into parts.Wonder what it is about the update process that makes it so difficult and troublesome. Dunno if it bodes well for the OTA process.
The function is currently disabled on US lyriqs, no clue when/IF it is coming.But then why have the sd Card slot

At least your getting updates... the first ID4 owners had to wait over 2 years before they got any Updates fixing bugs on their cars.After the car being at my dealer for a week, and no successful installation of SC, I am getting my car back tomorrow and I'll way for GM to issue a more reliable update. Not trying to troll anyone here, but I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with my whole Lyriq purchase at this point. I love the car hardware/interior/drivetrain, but the bungling of this software update is unlike anything I've experienced before. (This is my 4th EV).
