Has anyone had issues with aftermarket sun roofs?

I purchase a used "03 cts, Just in from a lease with 35000 miles.
I had some warranty issues repaired, but I also wanted the headliner tighten up, because it was falling at the back and sides.

The dealer said it was an aftermarket roof and Cadillac would not cover under warranty, even though the dealer had the roof put on before it was leased...

If you know which dealer installed it ask them what their warranty policy is on their instalation. I had my dealer install items and they give the same warranty as the Cadillac warranty.
You might not want to mention you have a problem until you get your answer.

:tisk: Is the dealer you purchased the car from the same dealer that leased the vehicle and had the aftermarket sun roof installed? Did they disclose the aftermarket sun roof and lack of warranty? If yes to any of the above, I'd cry foul! Most aftermarket installs like the sun roof normally carry a long term warranty. The headliner is screwed up from the install, I would guess. It should be covered by the dealer or the installer. Good luck!
