Strange locking experience

Using the remote to unlock our 2025 XT6….so far, so good. Left the key fob, which I used to unlock, inside the house, several hundred feet away. When I tried to lock the doors using the lock button on the driver’s door, the lock would lock, but then immediately unlock. Bottom line; there was no way to lock the vehicle without using the key fob inside the house. The 2nd remote key fob was nowhere present in this situation. Anyone else experience this similar situation? Is this normal or do I have a software issue? Thanks for your input.

Pretty sure you need to have the key fob on your person to lock the doors with the button. It’s not going to lock the doors with the fob a couple of hundred feet away. At least that’s how mine works.
Good luck with your Cadillac!

This was one of the symptoms I recently had on my 2020 XT6 that was a result of a bad BCM in the car.

I'd advise you to stay on top of this and report it to the dealer. Let them examine the vehicle and sort it out.

Good luck. They're gorgeous cars and worth the attention and care.
