So, I closed opened the driver side door with the remote (last week), got in and noticed that the passenger side exterior mirror was pushed up. Thinking someone had knocked it or whatever. I adjusted the mirror back to where it was supposed to be. Next time I went for a spin, I opened the locks with the remote and again noticed that the mirror was again askew. I adjusted it again. After adjusting, I hit the open lock button on the remote and it went up! Now i'm confused...activating the locks from the door handle had the mirror not moving as it should. Anyone with similar woes?

Oh, oh, also, the other day, I got a message that said "Driver Door Open", but it wasn't. Dunno if this is related or what? Heavy sigh...

What is your vehicle battery age and condition?
Sometimes low voltage can cause strange electrical happenings.

Battery is 2018 vintage and the screen tells me that I'm anywhere between 14.0-14.4 volts while running...

Fobs have never been played with in my 6 years with the vehicle.

Could be the latch , though install has a good feel...

I wrote "latch" but meant door lock actuator. It's the part that receives the signal from our fobs. It also "tells" the car that the door is shut. I had one fail under warranty and the car behaved oddly until it was replaced. Years later, I had to replace the microswitches in the handle but the only symptom I recall from that part failure was that the door wouldn't unlock as reliably as it had.

Also, have you checked out this thread: Stop the (soaking carpet) Insanity Forever! - Ultraview...

I said "install", but I really meant "closing has a good feel"
This past summer I had to change both front door lock actuators. If that has anything to do with it...

That is indeed interesting. Did you use OEM parts?

This car is the craziest car when it comes to electronics. Therefore OEM is absolutely the only way to go.

Does your vehicle have the driver's seat memory option. If there are buttons on the door somewhere that have 1, 2 and set on them then you do. Tha system also moves the mirrors when you unlock the car. The memory might have gotten reset. Look in the owners manual to find the instructions and reset your memory after you readjust the mirror. Another cause could be a failed position sensor in the mirror. That could be sending a bad position signal to the memory module that then is moving the mirror to the wrong position.

Running voltage means nothing. Unless it drops to 12.5 after a while since these are "smart" alternators. If it drops to 12.5 then it is seeing the battery as fully charged. If it doesn't ever drop then it is a sign your battery may be old.

The issues these cars have issues happen long before you see a noticible dropoff of your battery with your car turned off. Your battery will still test good and it will still cause issues in your car. If your battery is over 3 years old and you do ANYTHING to require a jump, the chances are you will need a new battery. At 5 years old... You need a new battery...

Using any non-OEM electrical part is not good on these cars unfortunately.

You should get your battery load tested. Eliminate the obvious culprit.

So here's what's happening now...

Checked battery voltage first thing yesterday morning and it told me 11.8 V. It's been snowy and cold so everything in the car (fans, defroster, etc.) had been running the day b4.

Re-adjusted my seat, mirrors. Saved that with the door button for fob1. Locked the doors from the interior handle hit the open button on the Fob1 and all it did was open the locks...YAY, the mirror stayed put! Then while trying the same with Fob2 I discovered that sitting for countless years on a hook, the battery was dead in it.

Lastly, I visited my garage after work yesterday and he put the code reader on it and discovered nothing was amiss. So, he reset the codes and said try that.
I don't know if that included battery load test, but since then no other irritating errors pop-up on screen.

Perhaps for valentines Day I should buy my girl another AGM battery?

I guess depending on where you are denotes OEM equipment, but when the original battery died, an AC Delco AGM was what was in it. That day it died, I learned what an AGM battery was.

The Gen II CTS was never equipped with an AGM battery from the factory so your battery was replaced before the unit most recently.
