Stock CTS-V made 349 rwhp w/cai & tune

I bought my 04 CTS-V three weeks ago. Yesturday I installed the CAI that I received from Moreperformance Inc., and then drove the car to my friend shop where I had the car dyno and tunned. Final results....349rwhp. Is this where a stock CTS-V should be with tunning and cai?

If your CTS-V has a cold air intake on it, then it is NOT STOCK!

No kidding! It means I took a stoct CTS-V and just installed the cai and dyno tunned the car to get the 349rwhp. I'm just trying to get other people input. I wondering if the car can make more power with a better tuning......
349 RWHP is about 410 at the crank (assuming the usual 15% drivetrain loss for a RWD manual trans car). The CAI added about 10 HP, which is about what most CAI manufacturers claim.

Wondering about adding more power to your car . . . . you ended up at the right forum. Cat-back exhaust, headers, new cam and heads, superchargers, to an all aluminum 427CID . . . . How much do you have to spend? :D

For the CTS-V its 18% drivetrainloss RWD manual trans and independent rear
G
thats right 18% that god dam independent rear. i am thinking of going ford 9inch solid
349 RWHP at 18%, that puts the crank HP at 425. Seems a little high for only a CAI. Someone musta got a very well built motor from the factory.
It happens my bone stock 01 Z06, made 347rwhp and 344rwtq. That was the avg. over 6 pulls on 3 differnt days:D . I had a healthy one .... Sooo your pulls sound very nice, you sould be happy. I was told approx 18% loss from our IRS and heavy drive shafts and half shafts.. Wich is pretty close to what we have in our V's. Its all good:D
I was 336hp stock myself. I have a Lingenfelter CAI and B&B X-pipe catback. Once the fall sets in and gets down into the 50's, I'll dyno her again.

That is the same hp my 02' Z06 made stock, after Balenger long tube headers, Random Tech high flow cats, Corsa exhaust, 30 lb injectors, Vararam intake, Shanner t-body and a lot of Ed Wright tuning the car dyno'd at 412 rwhp. :)

336rwhp corrected or uncorrected? If it's corrected temp isn't going to make much of a difference.

CAI and tunning

Ok maybe I'm crazy but 349 RWHP with 18% loss would be 411HP at the crank. If I did my math wrong please let me know. My last Dyno was 363 RWHP and 345 Torque. My car was low from the start. My base line with just CAI was 324. Now have LPE CAI, LS1 Edit, and headers with no cats. New heads and cam go in on monday and hope to gain at least 60-70 RWHP.
My old numbers were 351 RWHP so that sounds about right!! :D

Wrong! Its 18% less from flywheel HP. As for your case if you are making 363 rwhp....that mean you have 443 HP at the flywheel.
Was it a mustang dyno, or DynoDynamics ? Both are different, mustang reads lower. My Supra put down 45hp less on the Mustang dyno(same fuel, same weather), it made 480rwhp no nos, on pump gas.
G
It was a DynoJet! I was told it would be lower than other dynos.
